When Boris Johnson swept to power in 2019, he committed his government to fixing Britain's

huge regional inequalities. When I visited my hometown in Wolverhampton, I bet a local

journalist at the Prime Minister wouldn't be around to see the fruits of his levelling

up legacy just five days later. It is clearly now the will of the Parliamentary Conservative

Party that there should be a new leader of that party and therefore a new Prime Minister.
