young rock bands is actually just one guy. The guy in

question is Wolfgang Van Halen, who plays guitar, bass, drums, and sings lead vocals in his band

Mammoth. Formerly known as Mammoth WVH, he finally got the rights to just call it Mammoth,

which is what he intended the whole time. The new album by Mammoth is called The End.

It's out now.

And Wolfgang joined me to talk about making it, what's going on in his life, including

a weight loss journey, and a bunch of other stuff.

He's not eager to say the name David Lee Roth, but there is a little bit of a feud

going on that Roth started by posting a

message last year that called Wolf This Fucking Kid and told an elaborate story about various

grievances Roth seems to have with him. Wolf isn't eager to talk about this feud, but he's

definitely willing to sing about it. There's a song on the new album called I Really Wanto that

takes Roth on directly. And we definitely get into that song quite a bit. And here's my interview

with Wolfgang Van Halen.

Yeah, man, so you have your third album now. You have a catalog now. How's it feel?

It's exciting. I think, yeah, it's fun that now, like, making set lists for live. It's like it's about picking what not to play now.
