You're listening to a morbid network podcast. Once upon a time there was a little red house on an island covered in snow.

And from the chimney of that little red house belowed hazy smoke like puffs of pooled cotton.

In a distance, Louise clanged as they danced and bobbed in dark waters.

Adding to the music of the ocean, waves lapped against the rocky shore.

They're steady rhythmic sound creating a lullaby in the night.

And on this tiny snow-covered island, so far out at sea. The little red house, a cozy haven, beckoned one to enter. At that time of night, the little red house was usually filled with the warmth of a fire,

the lingering scent of goodies recently baked, a steady taking of a clock, and a soft snore of a small dog.

But this night was different.

The home normally left neat and tidy at night had been disturbed.

As if a wild animal had made its entrance, the kitchen chairs are upturned. A clock lies broken and clothes and bedding litter the floor.

And in the kitchen of the little red house, a woman of just 25 lies still on the floor.

The waist length, once golden hair, which had often been the object of envy, was now stiff and dark, caked in dried blood.

In another room, a woman whose breath has grown still lies partially under a bed,

with a handkerchief wrapped tightly around her throat.

But a man's haggard breath harsh and focused like a wolf punctures the stillness.

Pacing, the man finishes the meal he brought with him to the island, and then opens the door.

But before making his way back into the night, he notices the broken, bloodied axe he'd only just used, lying in the snow.

Flashes of the frenzied violence he'd unleashed, flicker through his mind. He quickly shifts his focus to the darkness as he steps

out into the snow, leaving bloody prince behind, and continues the hunt.
