Good afternoon, everyone, and thank you for joining us here today.

I'm here with a group of city, county, and community leaders who have been with us every step of the way

in building the kind of Cincinnati that our children and grandchildren can be proud of.

You say this is diversity, equity, inclusion.

That's why all these people are out there.

Why you got all these fools up there?

I just want to hear the mayor, maybe the police chief.

That's all you need.

But this is what this city stands for.

As you can see, there are far too many to announce

individually, but there are leaders here from law enforcement of both the county and the city,

including public safety professionals, like our firefighters, business leaders, community leaders,

faith leaders, elected officials of both the city and the county level.

And we're here together with the unified message to our city.

For the past week, Cincinnati has been dealing with a serious challenge.

A challenge because of the awful and horrific fight in our downtown last weekend.

That was a fight.

I don't call that a fight.

A challenge because of both the speculation and legitimate conversations raised because of it at both the local and national level,

and a challenge because of the ongoing work that everyone at this podium and partners throughout our community

have been investing our time and resources into to ensure the safety and vibrancy of every community in Cincinnati.
