Welcome back to the Word on Fire Show. I'm Brandon Vat the host and it is good to be back

here with you. I've been gone for the last couple months. I took a break while my family

and I took a cross country road trip from Orlando to California and back. We got to spend

some time out in California with Bishop Baron and that's when my kids interviewed him

on this very show and Bishop Baron graciously did not poop who their questions. You'll get

that reference if you heard the episode. But it's good to be back here with you. However,

Bishop Baron is not here in studio with us today. He's just returning from Ireland. He did

a priest retreat there and he's going to take a break here for the next few days. So what

we decided is that the next two episodes were going to pull from a talk that he recently

gave. It was from the 2015 world meeting of families and the talk was on living as the

image of God. It was about the Amago Day, this fact that we were created in the image and

likeness of God. So what does that mean and how do we live it out? Well, that's what we'll

find out in this talk. We're going to play the first half of the episode this week and then

for next week's episode, we're going to air the second half. So sit back and enjoy this first

part of Bishop Baron's talk on living as the image of God.

I love talking to a little intimate crowd from time to time. It's a sign of the vitality of the

Catholic Church. And so it just lifts up. Everybody was here. God bless you for that. I want to

pay tribute right away. I don't know if I see him, but there he is. Archbishop Shepard, I think

one of the really great churchmen in the world today. So thank you, Archbishop, for all you've done.
