Welcome back to the Word on Fire Show. I'm Brandon Vat, the content director, and once

again, I'm with the illustrious Bishop Robert Barron. Bishop Barron, welcome.

Brandon, great to be with you as always. So we always start with a few little updates

here, and this past week, my wife and I took our kids to Disney World. You know, we lived

down here in Orlando, and we were joined by a couple of other friends from Word on Fire,

Rosanne and Sean Lee and their little child. And you commented to me when we were talking

about this, that it was cool seeing the Word on Fire grandchildren there, you know, that

several of these children, two or three of mine and Rosanne and Sean's child were born

after we've all started working out Word on Fire and Rosanne and Sean met at Word on

Fire. It made me think of another thing you said, where you had noted that Cardinal George,

the late Cardinal George, who was your mentor, was sort of the father of Word on Fire and became

sort of the grandfather of a lot of us there. Took a little bit about that, that how one person's

influence could sort of ripple through time and have all these effects. Yeah, that's great.

That's great. And I was very proud when I saw those pictures, and I put that down really

with a sense of fatherly pride, you know, that as a celibate, you know, we issue marriage

in the normal sense and kids of course, but we are a spiritual father's priest. And I

think of you and a lot of the, you know, your generation that works at Word on Fire is kind

of spiritual children of mine. And then your children in turn become my spiritual grandchildren.

So I take that fatherhood very seriously. Priest is called father. In fact, even now

when people they'll call me father and they'll say, Oh, I'm sorry, I mean Bishop. I always

say, Oh, no, no, I don't mind that at all. I love the title father. I really do. I think

it's beautiful title. And then yeah, Cardinal George was sort of a father to me. And without
