And the Lord brought us out of Egypt with a mighty hand. 22 And the Lord showed signs and wonders, great and grievous, against Egypt and against Pharaoh and all his household, before our eyes.23 And he brought us out from there, that he might bring us in and give us the land that he swore to give to our fathers. 24 And the Lord commanded us to do all these statutes, to fear the Lord our God, for our good always, that he might preserve us alive, as we are this day. 25 And it will be righteousness for us, if we are careful to do all this commandment before the Lord our God, as he has commanded us.’

0:26.4	It begins in verse four. And it's called the shama because that first word here in Hebrew is Shama. Here, oh, Israel. The Lord our God, the Lord is one. And you shall love the Lord of your God

0:55.2	gates. And what's happening here is that Moses has gathered the nation of Israel, and they are on
1:00.4	the verge of stepping into the promised land. And he's rewarning them, re-instructing them.
1:06.8	That's what the Book of Deuteronomy is all about. And it's that last little, whenever you do,
1:11.5	just don't forget to keep the main thing, the main thing, to love God and to pass on that fate
1:16.7	to this up-and-coming generation. It's parents, it's like right before you send your kid off
1:20.6	to the first overnight camp and you're like, you have to brush your teeth. Okay, it's that kind of
1:24.8	thing. The stakes are much, much higher.
