Amen. Hey, if you've got your Bibles, we're going to be in Matthew chapter 17 and Mark

chapter 9. It's the same event from kind of two different perspectives. We're going to start up on

the mountain. We're going to end up in the valley. It's going to start out super fun. But just if

you're new here, if you ever see this little anointing oil sitting on the table, then buckle up

buttercup because you're in for a doozy. That's what this means.

Okay, so in about 40 minutes we'll be casting out demons, like for real.

So here we go, all right?

Matthew chapter 17. We're going to talk

about the mountain of transfiguration. It starts out this way. And after six days, Jesus took with him,

Peter, James, and John. Now, real quick, you know why six days? Matthew is right into a Jewish audience.

Matthew wants his audience to understand that Jesus is the greater Moses, and God came to Moses and said,

I'm going to meet you on a mountain, and guess how many days it took Moses to be prepared to go up

on the mountain? Ready? You're so smart. Look at you, theologians. You're doing good. After six

days, Jesus took with him, Peter, James, and John. Now, I've talked about this a bunch, but pretend
