Song of Solomon chapter three. If you think the Bible's boring, you don't know about the Song of Solomon, all right?

I want to just warn you that next week, next week we're going to be talking about the honeymoon graphically because I'm going to read the Bible.

itself so we're going to pick it up in song of solomon chapter three beginning in verse six

it says this is the woman talking she says what is that coming up from the wilderness So we're going to pick it up in Song of Solomon chapter three, beginning in verse six.

It says, this is the woman talking.

She says, what is that coming up from the wilderness like columns of smoke?

First and foremost, the thing about God glorifying wedding day is that she knows that this is a divine appointment.

This is not just a legal event.

Do you know that in the state of Florida that any notary public can marry you? Did you know that?

You can go get your marriage license. You have to wait three days and then you could go to the bank or Publix or your lawyer or anywhere and you can get married there. And that's fine as far as

legalities go. But the Bible thinks that the wedding day is a divine appointment. All throughout

the early years of Israel, they were led around by God in the form of a pillar of smoke.

And so what she's saying is that this day, this wedding day, is a God-ordained event.

And so Solomon and his whole crew, this is the wedding processional. They are showing up. It says perfume with myrrh and frankincense with all the fragrant powders of a merchant. So fellas shower well before you get married. Okay, you don't want to stink on your wedding day. Verse seven. Behold, it is the litter of Solomon. This does not mean that his friends are dogs. Okay. A litter is like an old school word for that little couch thing.

Maybe you've seen it in movies where like people are carrying it on their shoulders on post

and the king sits up in like this chariot with no wheels and no horses because his boys are the

horses. Okay, that's how that works. And so this is his ride. Solomon is showing up to his wedding
