Amen. Some weeks feel like you just need to pray and go home, right?

Hey, glad you're here at 1122. If you've got your Bibles, I hope you do. We're going to go to

John chapter 3. John chapter 3, it'll take me about 15 minutes to get there, but you go ahead

and get started. We are in our fourth week of the series called Ecclesia.

Ecclesia is the Greek word that Jesus used, that today we translate as church.

In the book of Matthew, he takes the disciples to this place called Cessaria Philippi.

It would be like the Las Vegas of it today.

And he announces there, upon this rock, the public public declaration that Jesus Christ is Lord and Savior.

Upon this rock, I will build my ecclesia, and the gates of hell will not prevail against it.

And so we thought if you're going to be a part of this ecclesia, a part of this church, or this movement, you need to know what you're at.

And so we spent four weeks on our core values.

The next four weeks we'll spend on our vision.

And so this week we're talking about our fourth of core values, which is sacrificial love.

Now here's the problem when we talk about love.

First of all, our culture does not help us at all.

And everybody thinks they know what we're talking about.

In 1993, I was asked this very, very significant question. What is love?

Baby, don't hurt me, oh no.

And everybody begins to chime in.

Tina Turner says, what's love got to do with it?

Death Leopard taught us that love bites.

We found out you can lose that loving feeling.
