We're going to be Joshua chapter three primarily, but to really understand Joshua

three, we've got to back up to one, and we've got to go ahead to four, okay?

So I know I'm going to do three chapters in Joshua, and don't worry, it only takes about

two and a half hours, and then we'll get you right out of here.

So go there the reason that we're going to do this and the reason we're talking about what god's calling us to in 2016 is the bible

says in the book of proverbs without vision the people perish or without vision uh people throw off

restraint and we fully believe that god has called us to something it really started for us

last fall you know with the Before All Things initiative.

And we're going to talk through that, but we want to do it through the lens of what God is doing

right here through Joshua. So when we get to chapter three, they're going to cross over

the Jordan here in just a minute. And what you've got to understand is in the life of the

nation of Israel up to this point, this is the biggest thing that's ever happened, that they were

waiting for the fulfillment of this promise from God, from all the way back to Genesis 12, when

God picked Abram, that was his name then, it means father. And he says, I'm going to give you a new

name. It's going to be Abraham, which means the father of many nations. And the reason I'm

getting you this promised land is because I am calling you as a

people to be this special people, this called out people, this city on a hill. And from you,
