Amen and amen. Hey, what an unbelievable testimony about joy being found not in our current circumstances, but in something so much greater.

That's what we're going to talk about today. We're going to talk about joy throughout this whole series.

We've been walking through this one statement that was made

by the angels at Christmas is very familiar to most people it's found in Luke chapter 2 we'll pick it up

in verse 8 we're just going to unpack one little part of what they talked about it says this in

Luke 2 8 and in the same region there were shepherds out in the field keeping watch over the flock flock by night, and an angel of the Lord appeared to them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were filled with great fear.

And the angel said to them, fear not.

For behold, I bring you good news of great joy.

That will be for all the people, for unto you is born this day in the city of David,

a savior who is Christ the Lord, and this will be a sign for you. You will find a baby wrapped in

swaddling cloths and lying in a manger. And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of

heavenly hosts praising God and saying, glory to God in the highest, and on earth,

peace among those with whom he is pleased. So today we're going to talk about great joy.

Hey, by show of hands, how many of you are done with your Christmas shopping? You are all the way
