Amen, amen, and amen.

Hey, church, before we read our passage from Romans,

could we show a little encouragement and love to Ms. Ryan Page,

who's sitting right over here on the front row here at San Pablo.

You didn't think we were just showing X-Factor clips.

Oh, look, come on.

They stood for you there at the back.

That's good.

Hey, before I read from Romans chapter 10,

I want you to know that Ryan is the personification

of the doctrines that we have been studying,

particularly in Romans 8 and Romans 9, that God is

gloriously sovereign not only over our circumstances, but more importantly sovereign over our

salvation.

And she is a picture of what it looks like for God to be working in all things for the good of those that love him and are called according to his purposes.

And what the world sees as primarily a limitation, God uses in a glorious way to show the outstretched arms of a loving father for his lost children. Amen?

That's why studying something like the Book of Romans matters so much. These are not just

cold dead doctrines that belong in the classrooms of seminaries and on the desk of theologians,

but they belong in our hearts so that we can know who this God is that we love and we serve.

And that's why we're diving deep into the Book of Romans.

And so with that in mind, if you would please stand for the reading of God's Word,

I'm going to read from Romans chapter 10.
