And you're going to be in Matthew chapter 2, Matthew chapter 2.

We are in the second week of this Love is Born series, our Advent series.

And today is our Compassion Sunday.

This is Compassion Weekend.

And I just want to, I just want you to relax a little bit, okay, because maybe you've heard stories.

And I just want you to know that there's really three different ways that I could approach

Compassion Sunday. And as only as I get to be the pastor of this church and I have breath in my lungs,

we will, every year we will do Compassion Sunday, Compassion Weekends that we will, we will rescue

children from poverty in Jesus' name over and over and over and over, okay?

And so there's three ways that I can address this.

One is I could focus the sermon on you.

And I just need you to know that of these three approaches, none of them are better or bad or any of that.

And in the future years,

I will do all three styles of sermons when it comes to compassion. One of them is I could focus it on

you. I could talk about how much you've been blessed and how God's giving you so much and God

didn't give you all that you have so that you could have all that you want, but so that others could

have all that they need. And maybe you heard that when we were about two years old as a service, we weren't even

a church yet. Most of you weren't around then. It was our second Compassion Sunday, and I lined up

the back of the sanctuary with trash cans. And every single person that walked in the door, we gave
