So good. Amen. Amen. Church, if you got your Bibles and I hope you do, grab them.

We're going to be in Psalm 34. And as you find your way to Psalm 34, I just need to address a thing

before we get going. Last week, in an attempt to set up an illustration, describing the Hebrew word, Hasid, I spoke

about breastfeeding. So let's talk about that for a second. The Bible says this. The Bible says

in Proverbs 1218 that careless words stab like a sword and wise words lead to healing and what I thought was a lighthearted

goofing off if you're new here sometimes I joke around all right and in an attempt to do that though

I was careless with my words and what the Bible means in Proverbs 12 when it says careless words stab like a sword

it means regardless of your intent,

like if I was careless with a pocket knife and it slipped out of my hand and stabbed you in the

face, it is still my responsibility. And so I was careless with my words, and the last thing I want to do

is to shame anybody or hurt anybody with my words. All I want to do is point people to the good news

of the gospel of Jesus Christ.

And so I am sorry. I apologize for my careless words. Church, I need you to hear this, okay?

Three things. I love you. I love you. I love this church. I love getting to do this thing together.

And again, I am sorry. And I want to say thank you. Thank you for the grace that you give

me every single week to stand up here and do what I get to do. And I hope by God's grace I'll get to do this

for decades and decades to come. And so to that, I just say, I love you. Thank you. And I'm sorry.
