Well, Merry Christmas from the Church 1122.

Hey, we're excited. This is the beginning of a new series called Unexpected Hope.

And over the next few weeks, including our first ever on-site Christmas Eve service,

we're just going to be digging into this idea of going face to face with Jesus.

And just ordinary men and women encountering Jesus in an unexpected way that

gave them hope where they didn't even see hope was possible. And we just wanted to get you

started. If you have not started your holiday trek through good Christmas movies, we wanted to

get you started. If you haven't started your Christmas movie trek, I question your love for Jesus.

I just do, right? We have already taken down

home alone, and a really good chance home alone, too, will be taken down this afternoon. My family

is on a journey to the climax, the greatest Christmas movie ever, prep and landing. If you don't

know about prep and landing, it's because you don't have kids, and you need to go invest about 30

minutes into prep and landing. It's like Mission Impossible meets the show 24 meets

Santa Claus. It's probably the best, the most incredible 30 minutes of cinematic photography

in the whole category of crappy cartoons. It is unbelievable, but for me in my house, we will serve the Lord.

We love Jesus. We will watch Christmas movies all the way until, you know, mid-January,

my wife says, okay, put them, put them away. And only because of her are we a sane family.

But we're going to dig in week by week. And my goal today is really to kind of set the table

to lay the foundation of this idea of going

face to face with Jesus. For us in humanity to go face to face with Jesus, it required

Jesus to become what theologians call the incarnate Jesus or the incarnate Jesus. And so we're

going to wrestle through what does it mean for Jesusesus to be fully god and to be fully man
