Amen. All right. So last week we talked about the shepherds. This week we're going to talk about the shepherds a little bit more. And we're in Luke chapter two. Luke chapter two. I want to talk to you about just being a witness. It's something that we've talked about a lot in Christianity. What does it mean to be a witness? We're going to talk about that

a little bit. The shepherds were witnesses to not only the birth of Christ, but they're

witnesses to the idea that God was going to come first to non-churchy people. That when he came

with his message, he came to outcast. He came to the lowest of the low in their society. And they were the first

evangelist, actually. You've heard of an evangelist? Evangelist means someone that just brings the good news.

The shepherds were the first evangelist. It's very fitting because Jesus himself was an evangelist.

He himself was called the good shepherd in John chapter 10. But we talked about last week how it's just more than that.

It's more than the fact that they share this physical occupation that is similar
