Summary

We’re in a series on experiencing God, and we’re looking at the work of the Holy Spirit. The main job of the Holy Spirit is to assure you that you are a child of the King—to assure you that you belong to him, that you’re his child, that he loves you. The three great ministries of the Holy Spirit, which are all assurance ministries, are 1) the ministry of regeneration, 2) the ministry of sanctification, and 3) the ministry of high assurance and power. This sermon was preached by Dr. Timothy Keller at Redeemer Presbyterian Church on April 6, 1997. Series: Lessons in Drawing Near. Scripture: Romans 8:1-17. 0:39.4	For you did not receive a spirit that makes you a slave again to fear, but you received
0:44.7	the spirit of sonship and by him we cry, Abba, Father.
0:51.7	The spirit himself testifies with our spirit that we are God's children.
0:55.9	Now, if we are children, then we are errors.
0:58.4	Heirs of God and co-heirs with Christ.
1:00.9	If indeed we share in his sufferings in order that we may also share in his glory, this
1:09.8	is God's Word.
1:12.8	Now as I just said, we're looking at experiencing God and this whole passage which now begins,
