When this decision was decided, Trump was the prohibitive favorite to win re-election,

and he's promised to prosecute his opponents. So it's not like they're looking at something

that's a pie in the sky, possible hypothetical hypothetical that's why I went out of my way to say look it's a legit policy question how much you want to protect a prior president from prosecution by a future president?

That's a legitimate question to raise.

It's just decided by the founders already, not by the court.
