With Stugats and Hockman.

This is what I would consider to be like the first real episode of with Stugats and Hockman.

Because the other ones we've had Frank Kelly Endo on and you and I have just kind of chopped it up talking about what we were going to do.

This is really my idea, which was listening to,

you know, DMs on Instagram who've reached out to me saying, hey, I want to hear you guys talk about this or me going through old sound from the show archives and getting your

take on something, you know, 15 years later or 20 years later.

And I have a, I have a piece of sound for you.

This is from this has to be the first year of the Dan Lebitard show with Stugats.

Right?

Because when, so Stugats was the general manager of

790 the ticket. Yes, I was making all the decisions. I was negotiating with teams. I was doing

all the stuff. Right. And by the way, you know, people have talked about Stugats. I'm sure over the

years about some of the business decisions he's made,

it is no easy task starting a radio station from scratch, even if you've got big money behind it,

which you did. Yes, we had big money behind it. Yes, it was very daunting. It was difficult.

It was tricky. And I actually think we did a really good job. I could not control when I told the owner to go out and get us, you know, like a shack for Radio Row for Super Bowl week. The Super Bowl

was down here in Miami. I couldn't prevent him from going out, taking my message, going out,

and giving us the Versace mansion, which pretty much sunk us for the remainder of our existence.

Remainter of the fiscal year. I was like, Joel, just get a shack. Who cares? We'll tear it up. It doesn't matter what it looks like at the end of the week. He comes back with a contract for the Versace Mansion. I mean, it was so great. But, you know, it's like sometimes if you work in an industry and you're familiar with the industry and the people you're working with aren't really familiar with the industry.

Joel's probably thinking himself the

old owner, Joel's probably thinking himself, oh, I spend whatever, $150,000 for the weekend renting

this space out. Stugats will get it sold. It'll all be covered. So it's no big deal. But it happens
