Seven years ago, we began these daily broadcast.

You may not know this, but enjoying the journey actually started during the Christmas season.

We set aside a month of Christmas

studies to search the scriptures, to learn the beautiful joy of the coming of Christ and all that

was connected to it. And now, as we celebrate the end of our seventh year of broadcast, I'm so excited

to share these studies with you again. I want to encourage you to

get your Bible, get your family, sit down, and let's worship our great Christ together. At the

conclusion of today's study, Greg will come and tell you more about how you can obtain other resources

that will help you in your Bible study and family life,

and how you can pray with us and help us in the days ahead.

Isn't it funny how we take certain portions of scripture and confine them only to certain times?

For example, the story of the nativity, the story of Christ coming into the world,

always say, well, that's for the month of December, that's for one time of year.

And yet I bring you to Matthew chapter 2 today with the hope that God will use this truth in your life every day,

every day of this year. As a matter of fact, Matthew chapter 2 was used specifically by the Holy

Spirit in my life in the month of September several years ago to lead me. In one of the greatest

transition periods of my life, a period of decision making and

seeking the will of God, God opened my understanding from Matthew chapter 2 from the familiar
