and today I'm chatting with Doris Howard, otherwise known as Grammy.

I'd always kind of prided myself that I would never have a nervous breakdown because

I believe God's word so much I'll just never have one.

Life was really intense and so I got into this thinking pattern.

But tomorrow is as bad as today.

And the next day after that is as bad, I think I'm going to have a nervous breakdown.

So I went to an elder's wife and cried for two hours and she just listened so patiently

and she was just so sweet and so kind and when I finished all of my sob story, she said,

Doris, God can't give you strength for tomorrow today.

All you have to do is get it to bedtime tonight.

Okay, that's just a tiny piece of wisdom from the tons of stuff you're going to hear

from Grammy today.

Don't you love that name?

So Grammy is in Nashville with my little brother.

They're in the same small group and so he's been telling me about her for a long time.

I couldn't wait to have her on the show because I'm a big fan of learning from those

who go before us.

She also has a cool part of her story that she and her husband mentored Rich Mullins.

I mean, that's pretty amazing that he sought them out for wisdom.

I think we have a lot to learn from her today and I love her accent.

It's kind of like you're sitting on a porch.
