One thing or a couple of things I wanted to get out of the way first before I talk about this game

and the season in general. Two things. Evan Turner and Spencer Haas. I want to set the record

as far as I'm concerned on both guys. There's a lot of talk about why Evan Turner isn't

getting minutes. A ton of talk and there has like this little fan club has developed. An Evan

Turner fan club that Doug has done Evan Turner wrong or that. What I see a lot is Evan needs

the confidence of playing more minutes. And if Doug doesn't play him more minutes, he won't play

well. That is nonsense. 100% nonsense. And this is coming from an Evan Turner fan. A guy that

defended Evan Turner, me, when everybody was calling him a bus last year. I don't know if you

remember that. But you know, three quarters of the way through the season, halfway through the

season, five games into the season, everybody was calling Evan Turner a bus. And all I said

was wait. And I'm still saying wait. And I'm also saying that if you need minutes for confidence

after you've been the nascent player of the year in college and you're the number two draft pick,

I'm not having it. Then I don't want him. If he needs confidence by getting more minutes,

if he can't perform in the minutes that he's given, then I don't want him. Then he's not good enough.

And I'll tell you this, the reason that Evan Turner is not getting minutes is because Evan Turner

is playing poorly. Not all the time, not, you know, not not 75% of the time. Maybe half the time,

he is playing poorly. And if Evan Turner plays better, he'll get more minutes. I don't know if

you remember the first 20 games of this year. But when everything was hunky-dory and everybody was

playing well, Evan Turner was getting like 25, 30 minutes a game, which to me was fine, which
