It holds tremendous spiritual appeal in an increasingly sterile risk-averse world,

where children no longer play unsupervised, and mountain safety is locked into your mobile phone.

or how technology influences our behaviour,

winter climbing will always provide us with the opportunity to step outside of these shackles

and define our own destiny.

new book called The Great Mix Climes of Scotland.

Climes with wonderful names, white magic, Trail of Tears, Gully of the Gods, Messiah, the screaming.

These are roots that only a small, tiny percentage of the population would even dream of attempting.
