Summary

#414. This is not the first time that United have been in the football wilderness. For more than two decades United failed to secure the league title; a cup side hopeful only of securing the occasional trophy, while spending years in Liverpool's shadow. On this week's Winter Break Special, we talk to Wayne Barton, author of a dozen books on football, many about United, about his latest, Que Sera Sera, on the era of Dave Sexton and Ron Atkinson. It's a nostalgia filled show. Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit podcastchoices.com/adchoices

Every week Paul and I seem to find a new way of talking about Ollie Solshar's team finding a new

Nadeer, a new low, a new worst performance since Ferguson left the club.

And it's a measure of perhaps of how bad United have become, how complacent the club has been,

1:41.1

and sometimes what little hope we have for the future and of

course this is a measure of how spoiled we've become spoiled we were through the

Ferguson years when perhaps we didn't realize just how lucky we were.

But if you're like me and you're in your 40s, unfortunately,
