Okay.

Welcome to Giants of History.

This is J.T. Fusco.

Some brief updates on the show before we begin,

0:10.0

as it's been just a bit longer than normal between this show and the last one that I published

0:15.1

and you all deserve to know why. And so the short version of the story is that my laptop

0:21.1

crashed one Sunday early in June and along with that extremely unfortunate

0:27.2

event went all my recent work including the notes research the outline for what was to be this show.

0:35.0

And so basically I had to start from scratch with this whole episode

0:40.0

and a few others that I had began outlining as well.

0:43.0

So that is the reason for this slightly extended publishing schedule.

0:48.0

And I appreciate all of your patience through this little hiccup. And then the last thing to share here is

0:54.9

that this show celebrated its four-year anniversary a few weeks ago on July 1st.

1:00.3

July 1st 2015 was the day that I released the first Theodore Roosevelt episode and then it's

1:08.8

crazy to think that six months after that my youngest son was born who will be four this December.

1:17.0

So I only mentioned that. I don't know why I mentioned that, but it just occurred to me that the show was actually launched prior to my youngest son's birth.

1:25.0

And it just put time in perspective for me.

1:29.0

And as a postscript here, last time I checked, the show had 666 total reviews in iTunes, the vast

1:38.6

majority of those being five stars. Now, while I'm not a superstitious man and have even ran with the devil a time or two during my life,

1:47.0

666 has never been a number that I'm comfortable with.

1:51.0

So if you haven't yet done so and you've been listening to

1:54.9

the show for a while, kindly hit iTunes and maybe B review number 667. I would appreciate that.
