Good morning, friends and enemies. Welcome in to the week eight waiver wire show. We are officially

0:05.7

halfway through the regular season of fantasy football. All right? So you got some league mates

0:10.2

probably dropping off, but this is the time that the contenders start to contend. This is the

0:14.9

time we get deep on the waiver wire. And we have some rookie wide receivers last night, Monday night

0:19.8

football. I'm glad I didn't put this out last

0:21.4

night we had some extra time to think on it to drink on it and now we've got some heavy hitters

0:26.2

on the waiver wire this week despite despite what big fantasy football is telling you all right so as

0:31.9

always we're going to go down the trending up and the trending down tab I'll tell you my favorite

0:36.2

pickups at each position and I will quickly run through the trending down tab to let you know guys I think it's okay

0:41.6

to drop. Now obviously first and foremost, week eight is hell. There are six teams on by.

0:48.3

We've got Arizona. We've got Detroit. We've got Las Vegas, the Los Angeles Rams, we've got Seattle, we have Jacksonville.

0:56.6

So a ton of firepower in the fantasy streets will be on your bench. So it is important that we

1:02.4

can fill those lineups like they fill the Bavarian Cream donut with the good stuff.

1:08.4

All right? And for possibly the first time this year, we're going to start off with the quarterback

1:12.1

position.

1:13.0

So if you're not in, like if you don't need a streamer, if you're not in a Super Flex League, this is pretty much for y'all out there showing the Super Flexers. Some love there have been a lot of quarterback injuries. All right. So we need to talk about what we're doing at that position. We've got Jaden Daniels suffering the hamstring strain, likely going to be out a couple of weeks.

1:28.2

We've got Bryce Young already ruled out basically for Buffalo and likely going to miss another week on top of that. So we've got Andy Dalton stepping in. And that's actually it, unless Tyrod Taylor does get the nod to start over Justin Field. So Dalton, I think, is likely a one or two-week starter here. They play Buffalo at home, which I actually think is a good game. Scroo's defense has not been particularly good this year. I think they're going to have to throw the ball a lot in order to keep up. Marks, Marriota is probably more of a longer-term play because of the severity of Jaden Daniels injury. That being said, the state of the Washington offense right now is so tremendously bad. Marriota does give you a little bit of a floor because

2:06.2

of his rushing ability. He'll usually finish between 20, 30, 40 yards on the ground. But right now,

2:11.9

without Terry McClureen, without Debo Samuel, without Noah Brown, it's like, I don't even know what

2:16.2

we could do at the wide receiver position that would help elevate any quarterback. So if you're desperate at QB in a Super Flex league, I actually think I'd prefer Andy Dallin. I think he gives you a higher, both floor and ceiling realistically. Like, I think D'Lton is someone that's going to be able to feed the pass catchers in this offense. I think Tett's going to see a nice little upgrade. Him and Leggett showed a little bit of juice at the end of the game on Sunday. I think Jalen Coker, who only ran 47% of the routes in his first game back, will continue to see more and more snaps and participation. So it's like a decent little receiving group they got over there.

2:51.1

And I think Dahlin can sling the ball.

2:52.9

We've seen him have random high ceiling games when he's filled in as a backup. So I don't want to overspend on any of these guys because I don't think they're long-term solutions for you. And even with Tyrod Taylor, like you want to talk about a sorry state of receivers in Washington. it doesn't get any worse than the New York Jets because the Jets are without Garrett Wilson right now.
