Summary

On today’s show, Dane is joined by Wolves beat writer Jace Frederick from the Pioneer Press to discuss what went into the Wolves win in Brooklyn on Tuesday night. The episode starts by focusing on how the Wolves closed the game, with Rudy Gobert on the bench, and how it worked. From there, most of the focus was Karl-Anthony Towns and his bounce back game after only having eight points on three shots against Portland on Sunday. And finally some two games to go standings talk. — Not closing the game with Gobert and even Towns at times — Where the Wolves went to Towns offensively to get him back on track — Overall thoughts on the offensive fit of the Towns, Gobert and Edwards fit, now after those three have played 24 games together — Where the Wolves may fall in the play-in and who the optimal play-in opponent would be Sign up today for a 14-day free trial of Aura’s digital security at Aura.com/Dane Learn more about your ad choices. I'm joined today by Wolf's Beatwriter, Jason Frederick from the Pioneer Press.

Jason O, we got a handful of different things to talk about from this one.

0:32.7

I have some clips to play from the locker room from last night.

1:08.1

I mean, obviously they did that and they won last night.

1:12.4

I would say that was part of the reason. They won the game close. What stands out to you about when Finch does that?

1:19.5

And specifically last night, what did you think that opened, unlocked, made more functional

1:25.5

for the team down the stretch last night.

1:36.5

1:40.0

It can be hard to, like, play whatever you think is the best roster to win games. So, like, when I see somebody like Finch, you know, he even did it obviously at the end of game six last year.

1:46.0

He made a move that he thought was the best move to win games.

1:48.4

And, like, that's what I like about him is that he kind of at some point just says, screw it, I'm going to play.

1:53.7

I think this is our best chance to win.

1:55.7

And last night, I agree with you. I think that was their best chance to win, given Brooklyn's microscopic lineup, was to take O'Bare off the court. And it opened up things for Cat and Dan, I thought,
