I am Kieran Oaks and I'm joined today by Hannah at Kinson Hannah. How are you doing?

I am doing great. So happy to be here talking about today. It was very interesting. How did you find it?

Well, I just thought mainly it's nice to see cars on track. And this is what I would have said testing.

But now I'm going to say it's nice to see cars on track in a vaguely representative look at how they're going to fare this season.

I think that is something that we have missed with testing. It's nice to see the cars going around, but really it's just a data gathering exercise.

And whilst there are still elements of that for sure today, day one of, well, FP1, FP2 Bahrain for the Grand Prix this weekend.

It seems a little clearer. It seems like we're getting some genuine indicators now as to which cars are going to perform and which cars are struggling.

But before anything started today before any cars on track, we had.

Well, I'd like to say a surprising incident, but it's kind of the same incident that's been happening since the end of last season with Lewis Hamilton's jury once again being called into question.

So we had Mercedes saying that they couldn't they couldn't say that Hamilton didn't have his jury and the FIA obviously not too happy about that.

And it turns out that he's got a medical exemption. I think it's been upgraded from getting an infection. It's been upgraded now to physical deformity, which I don't have any Pearson's Hannah. I don't know about you, but I don't have any either.

Have you ever had one? Never.

So you've never been physically deformed and but I would imagine that's like a standard terminology.

If you put in a hole in your area, probably all you know, but it feels kind of frustrating to see this coming up again. What do you make of it generally?

I mean, I just feel like it's so silly. I mean, we're here, you know, watching F1 and what we're talking about is jewelry. I mean, it was a big thing last year and everyone, you know, was up in arms about it.

And I get why it's just an annoying thing to be talking about why is jewelry not allowed? Why isn't it allowed? You know, I mean, it feels so dumb. It's like Louis Hamilton's bringing a doctor's note to the FIA.

And it's like, I don't know if you like when you were in school and like people have to cover their it like ears with clusters to cover their peasants. It feels like that. Like Louis is going to turn up with his nose with a plaster on.

I don't know. It's just so silly. But I mean, I think it's fair enough for Louis to, you know, give the FIA this note to say I can't take my nose, nose piercing out because of this. I'm like, yeah, fair enough. Don't do it.

Well, it's a difficult one, I think, because it puts the whole issue is in the middle of two things. The first thing is how did the FIA enforce their rules, which is something we've seen difficulty with over the past couple of years.

We don't need to bring that up again. It's still all we talk about. But on the other hand is drivers personal freedoms. So we're talking about freedom of speech. We're talking about the ban on political personal statements be made on track.

And it feels like you can't with this situation. It's banging the middle of those two things. You sort of you either allow the driver to express his personal freedoms. It's his body. He's a grown man. He knows the risks associated with that.
