The day that they say will go down in history as 90 mile an hour gales and it's going to be there.

Of course, it would be quite funny, would it not?

If it turns out to be a load of old hooey and it turns out not to be right.

But they seem to be putting out the red alert, which is what we said yesterday.

Nothing overnight in Twickenham.

We've had nothing at all.

It's been absolutely calm.

I've sort of stacked the furniture, not up, but I've lain it all down on its side so it can't go anywhere. If it shifts, terracotta pots off the walls, well, then there's nothing I can do about it.

It just has to go like that.

But they've said, if you don't need to travel today, it's supposed to be 7 o'clock this morning.

It was kicking off.

And all I can say is just take care.

The thing that they say, I think the red alerts are parts of south-west England and South Wales.

They say, if you're parking the car, make sure you're not near any scaffolding or anything like that.

When you open your car door to get out, make sure you hang on to it because the wind could whip it backwards and you

could lose your door. I know it seems stupid, but I promise you it will happen. Don't go anywhere

near the coast. A lot of trains are cancelled. So, um, just be careful. Okay, if you don't need to

go out, don't go out unless of course a tree lurches itself through your house, in which case

then you might have to go out, but, uh, especially with all the bins and everything else if you've got rope tie stuff down I know it seems stupid I promise you me you'll thank me in the end because when you go for the insurance claims they'll be going so what did you do to prevent this storm which you were told about and you'll be going nothing nothing at all you know
