studio with my editor, Peter Clowny. Peter's usually in Minnesota, so we don't see each other very often.

And so it was weird having him stare at me while I was recording. But we brought him in because we

have an exciting new season. The first story is actually going to be in the second half of today's show.

It involves a guinea pig. That's all I'm going to say right now. We also have lots of exciting

news to share with you. Stuff that I've been dying to tell you. In fact, and the best part is

there are tons of opportunities for listeners to get involved with the show, which is of course,

what the longest shortest time has always been about. You guys.

Hey, Peter. I'm happy to be here. I'm sure the listeners are thrilled. Yeah, they're like,

why is that guy always behind the scenes? Yeah, okay. So Peter, you know, parenting is

in media all around us. What do you mean? Well, like it's in all of our favorite TV shows,

like the stuff that we all love, like like Louie. Right. We use about a dad. For sure.

Um, Atlanta girls breaking bad, transparent, all of these things have a parenting story is

just woven through them. Some of them are completely built on them. They're all examples of

terrific parenting as I think you're breaking bad. Yeah, I give up. No more showers. Watch

these TV shows breaking bad. But seriously, like sometimes you get stuff about parenthood that

seems more real on TV shows than you get in in like media that's supposed to be about parenting.

Like the parenting niche or whatever. Yeah. And so we've revised our newsletter to sort of reflect

that. So we've changed it. So that when we send out a newsletter, the top of it has a little note

from me. And it's usually got like some little anecdote about what's going on in my parenting life.

And then something that I think really nailed it from a scene from a movie or TV that might surprise
