in your pursuit of a goal that you care about, you are going to end up getting in a rut. In that moment,

0:05.4

most people give up. I'm going to tell you what you need to do if you want to be part of the 8%

0:09.3

that actually sees their goals through. If you struggle getting up and getting your day started early,

0:15.4

even though you want to and know that you should be doing it, this comes down to two things. One, it's all mechanism

0:23.5

all the time. What are you doing with your night routine to make sure that you're getting to bed on

0:27.7

time? Because the reality is if you're tired, you're not going to want to get up. The reason so many

0:33.3

people lack motivation is because of as Vince Lombardi said, fatigue makes cowards of us all.

0:39.3

If you're tired, you just don't have what you need to face the day. Life is hard. Being a human

0:45.8

0:51.4

clear that life moves inextricably towards one thing, chaos.

1:02.0

1:08.0

Now, it's easy enough to get yourself pumped up psychologically,

1:11.6

but to get yourself pumped up at a cellular level, you have to make sure that you are

1:16.6

getting to bed on time, getting plenty of sleep, eating right, and getting exercise, and meditating.

1:22.6

If you're not doing those things, then you're not going to be primed at a cellular level.

1:25.6

Now to get the psychological energy, we get to the second thing. You just don't want it badly enough. Most people don't want

1:32.3

the thing that they're pursuing in their life. For two reasons. Reason number one, you don't

1:38.2

realize that desire is a process. You build desire for things. You were not born with some intense sensational

1:44.8

desire. You do have imperatives that evolution has given us, but you don't have these intense

1:50.8

desires other than like hunger, thirst, sexual drive. But you certainly don't have a drive to

1:58.3

go to the gym. You don't have a drive to be more successful at work.
