Hello, everybody. Welcome back. I'm back from New York. It was a hell of a trip with a lot of fun, a lot of stand-up comedy, a lot of

0:08.5

Schmodail, a lot of fun, a lot of fun. But today we're going to be talking about so much. We're going to be talking about James Bond, how did that do in the box office. Many

0:16.9

Saints in New York was a massive hit for HBO Max by the way. The first look, as you see in the thumbnail of Timothy Shalamet as Wanka, Resident Evil, so much

news. And I thought, hey, I'll go through some stuff, read it, talk about it, talk about it with you guys and see what you thought. And at the end of the show, I'm going to end it with a

0:38.9

couple of your questions. I went to my Facebook page and I posted, hey, send me some questions and I'll put them on the show today. And that's

0:44.5

exactly what you did. So let's get into it today. We have so many stories to talk about on the big thing. Thank you guys for joining us. Let's get moving.

0:59.6

Welcome back. One and all to the big thing. It's made Christian Harlow. Can have a lot of fun in this week. Man, last week was fun too for big thing listeners or viewers. People love that

1:18.5

episode. Navi is a lot of fun to talk to put friends with Navi for a long time. So having him come on and talk about the business. He's always going to be a lot of fun stories. And that's going to happen again for sure. We started the

1:32.8

Spider-Man rewatch with myself, Winston and Koi. That course dropped on Friday. People enjoyed that. The nuttiness that was myself and Steph and Kate. That will happen again. Kate and, excuse me, Stefan Brett are going to be on the show on Wednesday. And then

1:47.5

Friday we're doing Spider-Man 2 with myself, Winston and Koi. And then on Monday, Ellis is going to be on. So we're ready. Booking all these things and having these these shows, you guys have been really responding to the show. I'm very happy for that. And these shows, these like little one-on-ones, if you will, with myself and you guys. Has also been something you guys have been telling me anyway that you've been enjoying. And we're going to get into some stories. There's there's stuff going on in the world of of news that a lot of stuff that dropped that I thought was very

2:17.5

interesting. And that's for if you've brand new to this format, I'm not going to go over every big story. Because some of it to be honest with you guys, I don't give a shit about. But there's some stuff that came out that's interesting. I actually like to actually talk about that. Because I'm curious about it. I think I can speak on it. And I hope that I hope that you feel the same way. So the first thing that I think that we can actually talk about. Let's bring it up here. So we go to the where's the news. Where is the news?

2:47.5

News is here somewhere. And areas. It's Timothy Chalamet. And he's going to play Willie Wonka. And anytime you put someone's playing Willie Wonka, they're always met with the, but he's not Gene Wilder, right?

3:04.5

It's a heavy, heavy crown to wear. Timothy Chalamet and assistant dark horizons.com report that I'm seeing as posted a first look of himself as a young version of a center chocolate here. Willie Wonka and the upcoming Wonka movie at Warner Brothers Pictures. The film serves as a prequel to the novel, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. And we'll follow the young Wonka before he set up his famous Chocolate Factory.

3:27.5

The project is being spearheaded by Paddington, two director, co-writer Paul King and co-writer Simon Farnaby with filming underway at Levitts and studios, Keegan Michael Key, Sally Hawkins, Rowan, Ackinson Olivia Coleman and Jim Carter, co-star Lindy Heming, dark night, a wonder woman created the costume for the film, which will hit cinemas on March 17th, 2020.

3:52.5

Three. So we had a while before this movie comes out, but I got to tell you guys the kid looks legit. I liked this casting. It's Chalamet always does this kind of weird thing in every movie that he's in, but I like him a lot. And I think these, I can think you can get that goofiness and that silliness that was missing in the Tim Burton redo, which we didn't need a redo. I love the idea that it's a prequel. I love the idea that it's going to move into.

4:22.5

The story and the person that we have seen, and I think there's a lot of things. I mean, hell many scenes in Newark just did that. And I like it. I like the picture. I think he looks good, man. I think he looks good. I think that he's got that bit of, it's like the young genius boy before he really comes into his own right and builds the chocolate factory and figuring out the whole thing through.

4:48.5

Yeah, this is perfect casting, to be honest. I think it's absolutely perfect casting. I love the idea of Timothy Chalamet as Willy Wonka. And the fact that it's not a remake. I'm always going to be in for that. And I think that if you guys have been, I don't know, watching me long enough. And I'm I'm on, I have a, there's some people who think I'm nuts when I talk about back to the future. It doesn't want it to be touched at all. And I'm, I'm all for a continuation of the story that some other kid.

5:14.5

Finds the, the, the DeLorean, because it's a continuation. It's not redoing the story that already worked well. And sometimes I do think that remakes work for certain movies that, you know, I mean, people aren't like, if there's a movie, and I know this film purist out there, and I don't mean step on any film purist toes, but like, if there's a movie from like,

5:35.5

some sort of this microphone, 1946, that not a lot of people or people of today's generation is going to be checking out. And people want to make a remake, because the story is really good.

5:47.5

I'm all for it. I don't necessarily think like Rocky needs to be remade, but that could happen one day as well.

5:54.5

There are certain roles that don't think should be remade, need to be remade. And they still remake them sometimes. Like here's another reason.

6:03.5

What? This microphone can go fuck itself. It's been doing this for the last couple of, is I know it's been, and every time it, it seems like it's telling me it's okay. It stinks up the joint again.
