One of the stunning things about the predators I've caught

is that in many cases, they have an opportunity to

avoid being caught.

Initially, when they find out the age of the person they're talking to during the sting operation, they say, oh, that's not

for me. I can't do that. It's illegal. It's immoral. It's wrong. I'm looking for adult fun.

And in those cases, well, those folks have done the right thing.

And there, as I say, free to leave.

They don't even show up for me to say that, actually.

But in many cases, and this speaks to why this crime is so ubiquitous,

we have circumstances where a guy will engage in a conversation,

find out the age, say no, walk away from it, and then minutes or hours or sometimes days later,

get back on and say, hey, wait, how old did you say?
