and today's poem is going to be brought to you by a guest reader, my friend and colleague,

Matt Bianco. He's going to be bringing you a poem by a poet who you have already heard from

William Wordsworth, where you heard from him back in week one of this podcast, and he is going to be bringing you a poem by a poet who you have already heard from William Wordsworth,

where you heard from him back in week one of this podcast. And he is going to be reading for you

one of his very favorite poems by Wordsworth. Without further ado, here is Matt Bianco,

reading William Wordsworth. My heart leaps up when I behold. My heart leaps up when I behold a rainbow in the sky.

So was it when my life began?

So is it now I am a man?

So be it when I shall grow old or let me die.

The child is father of the man.

And I could wish my days to be bound each to each by natural piety

i'm not really sure what i like about this poem it just i just do i like the idea of us

responding viscerally and you know our hearts leaping when we behold something as beautiful

and natural as the rainbow in the sky and i like that we ought to feel that way and respond that

way at any stage or age of life um but i'm also not sure what the ending means or what it should mean. So I think there's a lot

going on there and I just don't know what to say or to think about it. I just enjoy it. It just,

it's something that raises questions for me that I just want to keep thinking on. I want to keep

pondering and contemplating.

So here it is again. My heart leaps up when I behold.
