0:12.0

Great to be here.

0:14.0

And although we have some mutual listeners, why don't you describe your podcast?

0:18.0

Well, I'm just a big history nerd like yourself, and many years ago I was in a job that I didn't love and

0:26.2

and that's an understatement so when you're in that situation you think of ways to stay sane and one of them was to engage my interest more so than I was I was doing so that's when I started the podcast with a friend of mine and we've been around for seven years.

0:44.2

We've interviewed a lot of people, and it's basically me talking about presidents.

0:49.2

So that's fundamentally what it is.

1:39.4

through the memory banks, Riley's memory banks, and they get to the part about presidents and they're trying to decide,

1:46.9

okay, which ones, I think it's joy and one of the, and sadness have to decide which presidents Riley remembers and they say

1:55.2

eh just just have a remember Washington Lincoln and the fat guy and that literally

2:00.5

sums up what Americans if they know anything about Taft, it's he's the fat guy.

2:06.7

That's it. So I think he's lucky when people even go the step further and say, oh, he's part of that Teddy Roosevelt era because at least

2:15.9

it's the dignity gives him the dignity of not being remembered purely as quote

2:20.7

unquote the fat guy. Absolutely, absolutely that is probably yeah the first thing that comes up.
