Summary

Whether you're a small developer or a large Fortune 500 company, getting consumers to interact with your app or engage in transactions is the key to your success.
Plaid helps to connect 3rd party applications to user's bank accounts, in order to streamline transactions made through those applications, and verifies user identities at set up. It can also help send transaction data to bookkeeping applications.
This helps to prevent fraud, by not only verifying that users are who they say they are, but also verifying that companies that use their technology–including big banks, Venmo, Square, and Coinbase–are legitimate. In the future, they hope to expand to 100% coverage of financial services companies and consumers in the US.
