We keep hearing that socialism.

In my whole lifetime, you hardly ever heard about it.

It's basically the cousin to communism.

It's bad news.

But somehow people, I guess, because they're young

and rather ignorant of what it is, have been tempted to look into it, to be open to it.

That's not good. And so I thought, why don't we have on our friend Bill Federer or William Federer to talk

about it? Bill, welcome to the program.

It's great to be with you, Eric. Now, you've written a book called Socialism, the Real History

from Plato to the present. People need to know how to find you. You are a treasure trove of resources. I hope people will go to

Americanminut.com. You know, when I meet somebody like you, Bill, I just get excited because I think

here's somebody, I can just send people to bill. There's just a raft of stuff that they can find

at American Minute.com. We need to prepare ourselves and to understand

many things. So one of the things that you talk about, of course, in this, I'm sorry, one of the

things about which you've written an entire book is socialism, which you just showed us.

So let's start from the beginning. When you say socialism, the real history from Plato to the

present,

I never would have thought of going back to Plato, unless we're talking about some kind of utopianist society. Why do you start giving us the history of socialism? Why do you start with Plato?
