Due to the nature of our production at Please Advise, I often do not have the opportunity to address issues in the news in a timely fashion.

I realize that people are not coming to me to hear my opinions on major political and social issues, but from time to time, things happen in the world or within pop culture that I feel it's my duty as a person with even the smallest platform to address.

First of all, I'd like to note the monumental historical milestone of Bruce Jenner's interview with Diane

Sawyer this past Friday. And coming forth as a well-known and celebrated figure who has privately

struggled with gender identity his entire life, he has begun the process of normalizing an issue

that affects so many, but that so few people seem to understand. What he has done for our world, our future,

our children, our grandchildren is perhaps one of the most brave acts I have ever witnessed in

my lifetime. I have long felt that questioning anything about the quote unquote, Bruce Jenner's story

...
