The first one we did last week was on trans matters and trying to define what is a woman anyway

is it was called got a huge response way more views and listens than my normal podcast and tons of commentary. So I thought I'd do another

one and pick another, you know, non-controversial subject like race. Oh boy, have I lost my mind? Well, these are important issues and we

need to address them to the extent that we can through science, reason, rationality,

enlightenment, humanism, and so on, which is my perspective.

This one is on race matters.

We did a whole issue of this.

I, in my 20s, thought by the time I got to my 60s where I am now that we would have

achieved that particularly after President Obama but no unless you've been living on

Mars for the past several years you know that race still very much matters in America.

The question is why? A century and a half after the Civil War

emancipated millions of slaves and outlawed the practice for good

half a century after the Civil Rights Act and corresponding legislation put an end to

Jim Crow and more than a decade after the first black president was elected

to the highest office of the nation, why are we now not in a race-blind society?
