There's football in the Bahamas today, Ari Wassman,

but there's a lot going on. I think perhaps we underestimated how heavy the news cycle was

going to be with early signing period transfer portal, NIL, and oh, by the way, NFL news that

touches the college football world. Because the thing the whole football community is buzzing

about as we record this on Thursday is Urban Meyer got fired by the Jacksonville Jaguars. And,

you know, Ari, I've been thinking a lot about this situation. And because I, every time this was

even brought up, the response from, from fans would be, well, he'll just go get

another job in college. And every college will try to snap him up. You know, if Ryan Day goes to

the Bears, Ohio State will just bring him back. And all right, I'm curious, we've both covered

Urban Meyer as beat writers. We've both covered Urban Meyer as beatwriters.

We've both covered major college football for a while now.

Do you think Urban Meyer would get another college job?

I have been struggling with this for a long time.

And I don't want to put Bill Landis's words in his mouth.

So I hope that I am saying this right.

But I think that Landis thought that he wasn't a college, he wasn't employable in college before all this happened.

So to me, I just wonder like, I'm not sure that the jobs that he would want would take him. Like, I think that middle tier teams or lower tier teams might take a risk. Like, but I don't know if urban. Like the one that hired Bobby Petrino. Yes. Well, and I don't, and I don't know if it's fair to put Urban Meyer in the same category as some of the other people that, you know, have been in those positions.
