Well, surprise, surprise, we're not getting a U-turn this afternoon,

which breaks the habit of a well-a-month that we've had

Liz Truss as Prime Minister.

Quasi Quarten has also insisted that he's not going anywhere

as Chancellor who knows how long before that U-turn.

Fraser, what has the government not U-turned on and why?

Well, it's widely expected to water down the budgets.

In other words, I think Liz Truss has gone through various stages of leadership

very, very quickly. She's only three weeks ago.

She had not yet delivered her budget, so that was at the stage of

boldness even hubris in not telling the rest of the cabinet what she would do

in announcing the tax cuts.

Of course, the reason other Tories haven't announced tax cuts

is they haven't worked out how they would pay for them.
