Welcome to Not Another One, and this is our weekend edition where we kick back and think about how the news has been making us feel.

It's as much therapy, isn't it, chaps, as anything else?

Do you remember the intercity advert?

I'm trying to remember the words now, but it was like,

kick off your shoes, anytime you choose, catch up with the news, say goodbye to the blues.

Fantastic.

Okay. I think you, I think you just dreamt that. Whether he's dreamt it or not, let's go with it. There was an Enter City, 1-25 advert that definitely had. It was very famous. I remember this is the age of the train, but that featured Jimmy Saville. So, I mean, that wasn't. Least about that, the better then. So we're going to try and talk about something slightly off the news, but how it might be

affecting us culturally, I think, today.

Well, in our first episode, which of course you can get on all the usual platforms, we talked

in a very serious manner about British electoral politics and how it's being

affected by the current historical moment. But we're going to talk today about whether the Trump

phenomenon is making Britain fall out of love with America. And we don't have Steve with us

today to our great regret, but the other one, Steve, will have to sort of call in like any of the other listeners and object to whatever nonsense he thinks we're talking.

But I think round this table in the studio, the three of us here, have a lot of thoughts about the way that Britain has become accustomed to relate to America,

how we now relate to our neighbours in Europe, whether we're sort of changing who we are and how we

think of ourselves because of what's happening in not just D.C., but what's happening to America

as a result of the actions of the Trump administration.

And it's been a strange one, hasn't it?

Yeah.

I mean, I think it is affecting people on quite a deep level.

Yeah.
