So, guys, Derek, more plates,merdates.com.

Today we're going to be talking about testosterone replacement therapy, TRT, and the risks.

0:08.0

This is something that obviously is a concern for a lot of individuals who are on testosterone,

0:14.0

not just super physiological dosages.

0:17.8

Guys on TRT, you have to keep in mind, when you're not functioning with a diurnal

0:22.7

rhythm of endogenous testosterone secretion, you are basically redlining your system a little

0:28.5

bit. You are chronically maintaining a stable level of super high, you know, depending on, you know,

0:34.2

how much you're pushing your TRT. You know, most people are going to push it you know it's a high normal high perpetual androgenic signaling which may put your body

0:42.6

in an increased state of sympathetic drive you know perpetually may cause you know

0:47.5

androgenic signaling and exposure in your brain in your heart in your other organ systems

0:52.8

all perpetually around the clock

0:54.7

without a break or a dip like you would normally get with your classical endogenous,

1:00.2

diurnal rhythm, pulsatile secretions that you otherwise would function with as a natural. And again,

1:05.4

binding protein production gets driven down a little bit too when you're using exogenous testosterone

1:10.4

in reasonable dosages. You're going to have a lower SHBG bit too when you're using exogenous testosterone in reasonable dosages.

1:12.4

You're going to have a lower SHBG in general when you're on exogenous TRT, especially at the dosages

1:17.6

most guys are using TRT at and the way they're administering it with the relatively infrequent administrations,

1:24.0

driving SHBG a little bit down for some guys borderline into the ground and raising their free testosterone

1:30.9

levels disproportionately to that of essentially super physiological territory. So they're walking

1:36.4

around with I don't know like 600, 700, 800 totals and then disproportionately high freeze.

1:42.3

And they're maintaining this level like perpetually around the clock.

1:46.1

Now, is somebody like that, like obviously that's a situation.
