Hey, welcome to the program and welcome back to me.

I've, uh, Louise and I took two weeks off.

The first time we've taken two weeks off, I think in the 20 years we've been doing this program

because ever since we got married 51 years ago, this has been on our bucket list to go to

Antarctica. In fact, in 2006, we had the trip booked and my dad got sick and died that year,

and in fact, when the trip was supposed to happen, so we had to cancel it.

So we finally found an open window and we were on the one ship in the Antarctic

that will bring a tourist along that is actually doing peer-reviewable science.

And I spent a lot of time in the lab looking at the microplastics.

We've got a real crisis in Antarctica that has to do with both microplastics and climate.

And I'll be filling you in on that as the weeks go on.

But anyhow, that's where Louise and I were for the last two weeks, just as an FYI.

But I wanted to give you the lineup for the day also.
