He can't get over how truly appropriate it is that the Ayrith Final Fantasy card has a dyes trigger.

So Joey, I was recently at the grocery store and the kid bagging my stuff asked if I wanted paper or plastic.

And I told him, I really don't care.

Why don't you decide for me?

And he said, actually, you have to pick

sir because baggers can't be choosers. Ah, oh no, goodness. I, it's a miracle that I haven't

broken my nose with how many face palm worthy moments we open this show with, Matthew.

Goodness. It has been plentiful for sure, but I'm also a little upset that you're pointing out

that Ayrth has a dies trigger because, spoiler alert, I didn't know. I knew that I've played

Final Fantasy before. It's only been out since I was like seven. Oh, yeah. No, that felt like a very

particular skewering from design right there. They were just like, hey, everyone.

Bummer, which is like terrific design. But man. I'm still not over it. So what are you going to do?

So we are going to take a look at the top commanders over the past few years. There's been actually a pretty monumental shift at the top of the most played commanders. So we're going to take

a quick look at that. And then we also want to talk about could there be any new future top commanders

in the pipeline soon? Indeed. We're taking a look at the top commanders of sets we've seen so far and

trying to ask which ones will stick around.

Because yes, there's been a lot of shifting around, including a new number one most popular commander.

So I'm excited to get into it, but we've got a couple of shoutouts to do before we do.
