Iran's supreme leader Ali Hameh has rejected US President Donald Trump's demand for an unconditional surrender as Israel continues its military operation against Iran. In a televised address,

the Iotala warned the United States it would suffer irreparable damage if it joined Israel's

bombing campaign. Later, President Trump delivered a somewhat cryptic comment to reporters waiting

for him outside the White House. Will you strike the Iranian nuclear component in what time exactly, sir?

Sir, would you strike it?

Would you please inform us so we can be there and watch?

I mean, you don't know that I'm going to even do it.

You don't know.

I may do it.

I may not do it.

I mean, nobody knows what I'm going to do.

I can tell you this, that Iran's got a lot of trouble,

and they want to negotiate it. And I said, why didn't you negotiate with me before? All

there's death and destruction. Why didn't you negotiate? I said to the people, why didn't you

negotiate with me two weeks ago? You could have done fine. Well, Ione Wells is the BBC's correspondent in Jerusalem.

As Israel continues its bombardment of Iran, what do we know has been hit there today?

Yes, Sean, we do know that they've continued to hit a couple of targets throughout Iran.

Israel's military says it struck about 20 sites in Tehran, including missile manufacturing facilities.

I think that's perhaps why Israel has felt confident to lift some restrictions, for example,

allowing people to attend gatherings again, go back to certain workplaces.

The defence minister, Israel Katz, has described this as a victory.
