The suspect in the University of Idaho murders is set to plead

guilty. With the trial approaching, we have now learned that Brian Cobur has accepted this plea

deal. Prosecutors said the deal will provide justice, but at least one victim's family isn't on board.

And the U.S. sees a new way forward for Syria after Assad. They say this is going to give the Syrian government a chance to stabilize their country.

The president lifts sanctions amid hopes for a broader Middle East peace.

as it did its thing working on the GOP's massive tax policy bill.

Questions on the amendment? All is in favor say aye.

Aye. Those opposed say nay.

The measure would extend the 2017 tax cuts make major changes to Medicaid and food assistance

and boost spending on defense and on the border.

The president has said he wants his one big, beautiful bill on his desk by the end of the week.

Now, Republicans are using a procedure that Democrats, the minority in the Senate, can't block.

But as part of that process, you have these marathon sessions where members of both parties can propose an endless number of amendments.

I call it my amendment 2435 and ask...
