Mark Meadows served as Donald Trump's fourth chief of staff from March 2020 through the end of his presidency.

On January 6th, as rioters attacked the United States Capitol, many people attempted to communicate with the president through Meadows.

Some of those messages are among the thousands of documents that Meadows handed

over to the House Select Committee investigating the events of January 6th. This week, Representative

Liz Cheney of Wyoming, the vice chair of the January 6th panel, read a number of them into the House

record. They show that Meadows and others close to the president

were fully aware of what was unfolding.
