The GOP has been two divided to enact its program, despite majorities on Capitol Hill.

How long can it remain united in support of President Trump?

Two vulnerable members have already used the I-word on national TV, although impeachment is unlikely anytime soon.

A special counsel to investigate Russian ties relieves some of the pressure, even though Trump says it's part of the

greatest witchhood in history. But as damaging revelations keep coming, his support from his own party

beginning to fade away. Later on today's talking point, some Trump executive orders have produced

results, a dramatic increase in arrests of undocumented immigrants. First, here's the news.

Hello again, Warren. I'll name back with To the Point. Brightbert News claims that the GOP establishment has its knives out for President Trump. But Republicans in Congress are mostly supportive, at least in public. We'll look at whether that's likely to last.

That's our main story today. Later on today's talking point, in contrast to building the wall or

enacting a travel ban against majority Muslim countries, the president's orders to arrest

undocumented immigrants have produced what he wanted, an increase of almost 40%. First,

this news update, even before he appointed Michael Flynn

as his first national security advisor, President Trump's transition team knew that Flynn was being

investigated for possibly breaking the law as a paid lobbyist for Turkey. Flynn told them.

That's according to Mark Mazzetti, who co-wrote the story for the New York Times.
